The Immigration Division plans to resume in-person hearings

The Immigration Division (ID) has issued a Practice Notice advising that the ID will resume in-person hearings on September 14, 2020.

As of this date, the Division's preferred means of conducting non-detained admissibility hearings will be in-person or by videoconference.

The ID remains committed to taking all required steps to protect the health and safety of hearing participants. This includes adopting a flexible approach towards parties who ask to participate in their admissibility hearing remotely due to health-related concerns.

Please refer to the Practice Notice on the resumption of in-person hearings for further details, including information on time limits, submissions of documents and scheduling of hearings.
